Our Journey Since 1995
ZIA became a separate statutory body following the repeal of the Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board Act Cap 825 in 1995 and the enactment of the Zambia Institute of Architects Act, Cap 442 of the laws of Zambia.
The Institute is committed to promoting excellence in architecture, upholding professional standards, and contributing to the built environment of Zambia. We regulate the practice of architecture, maintain professional standards, and provide continuing professional development opportunities for our members.
To promote and maintain high standards of architectural practice in Zambia, while fostering innovation, sustainability, and excellence in the built environment.
To be the leading professional body for architects in Zambia, recognized for excellence, innovation, and contribution to national development.
