It is with great honor and privilege that I address you as the President of the Zambia Institute of Architects. As we navigate the evolving landscape of architecture in Zambia, I am inspired by the dedication and excellence demonstrated by our members.

Our profession plays a crucial role in shaping Zambia's built environment, from urban centers to rural communities. The work we do today will define the spaces where future generations will live, work, and thrive. This responsibility drives us to maintain the highest standards of professional practice and ethical conduct.

This year, we are focused on several key initiatives:

• Strengthening professional development through enhanced CPD programs
• Advocating for sustainable and climate-responsive design practices
• Expanding our engagement with government on policy matters
• Supporting young architects and students entering the profession
• Promoting Zambian architecture on regional and international platforms

I encourage all members to actively participate in ZIA activities, contribute to our collective knowledge, and uphold the values that make our profession noble and impactful. Together, we can elevate the practice of architecture in Zambia and create a lasting legacy.
